Natalie's Strawberry Mini | Kutztown, PA

Whether you want to capture the special bond between a grandparent and grandchild, the joy evoked from an ice cream outing, the excitement of welcoming a new pet into the family, or one of the countless other beautiful experiences life has to offer, a mini session can do just that! Mini sessions have a place in the world of photography for busy families who wish to capture just a snippet of their story.

This particular mini session involved the most beautiful field of strawberries, a dear friend, Natalie, and her sweet little messy eater, Margo. As many of you know, motherhood is full of little moments that often begin to blur into the abyss of our day-to-day activities, responsibilities, and endeavors. What better way to capture these sometimes forgotten moments and celebrate their simple joys than with a 30-minute mini shoot?!

This shoot truly captured the innocence and curiosity of Natalie’s little girl, as she bit into the sweet fruit offered by each row of blooming strawberry bushes, or dissected several fresh beans, popping pea by pea into her mouth. A familiar mother/daughter bond radiated through my camera’s lens that late morning, as Natalie followed close behind Margo with her basket in hand, ready to help her daughter pick out a berry or even share a hug. I can’t help but smile at the memories these two will be able to look back on and recall years down the road when life seems busier than ever.

While mini sessions are as they sound- brief in nature- they truly do exist to help people hold onto those moments in life that are just as brief.
